Natalie + Mitch wanted something beautiful but a little bit different for their wedding. Crescent Head holds special memories for them both. From family holidays to their romantic proposal, they both knew it was the perfect place to celebrate their wedding day with family and friends.

Picture perfect location

Natalie + Mitch knew they wanted to capture the stunning views from the Crescent Head Golf Course and were keen on the idea of the Crescent Head Surf Club. One weekend they came up from Newcastle and they contacted us to see if we could have a coffee and a chat about their ideas. They wanted to have a look at the Surf Club to see if it would suit their style and asked if we would come with them. We all headed down and on entry they were impressed, but as soon as we were upstairs and taking in the most amazing view, it was set in stone that this would be the place for their reception.

The day of the wedding came and it was a 20 knot northerly wind! That didn’t matter as we we knew we could create a calm and beautiful ceremony. The photographer, Jade from Little Glimpses, used the wind to her advantage and captured some absolute stunning shots. While celebrant Kez, from Wed By Kez, was an absolute hoot! She brought zest and comedy. She made everyone laugh so much throughout a truly unique ceremony. Throughout the whole day the guys from Anchored Cinema captured everything perfectly into a gorgeous video!

After the ceremony the loved up couple proceeded to pebbly beach and the pandanus trees on the point for photos before heading to the Surf Club to party the night away with all of their friends and family. Jacky Piper and Jemma from JBs Hair & Beauty sure did a fantastic job on the bride and her maids hair and make up! These girls did not look a bit windswept, despite the crazy wind!!

The lovers story

Natalie and Mitch had many highlights from their wedding day. The mutual one was sharing their love story with everyone that made the journey to Crescent Head from Newcastle, regional NSW, Sydney and QLD. They loved that these people were able to indulge in a weekend away but also take in the beautiful and stunning views and natural surroundings, complimented by the sunny skies on their wedding day. Natalie was blown away by her bouquets and other florals which were lovingly constructed by the girls at Ellerslie Flowers. But, her second favorite moment, behind marrying her best friend, was seeing her dress for the first time. “I was completely overwhelmed at just how beautiful it was in real life. Never in my dreams did I imagine that my dress, made by Melissa Waite Couture, would be so stunning in real life” says Natalie.
